ARCO 2016

From 24 to 28 February in Madrid we can enjoy the best international galleries at the 35th anniversary of the ACOMadrid fair organized by IFEMA, will take place in pavilions 7 and 9.

If the 35th Anniversary Fair of Contemporary Art in Madrid does not have a guest country this year, otherwise creates an imaginary continent where relevant galleries in its history this year bring his most impressive works, many works go out and oppoortunities are avalaible to everyone. Arco 2016 will be open on Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 from 12am to 20pm and professionals Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25.

35 galleries from different countries will be invited to participate in  section Imagining Other future projects two artists stand. Dialogues between artists explain their step ARCOMadrid and other point out how they imagine their own futures. A section representing a forum for the past 35 years of international contemporary art and provide a projection of art in the coming decades.

The quality of the galleries, their contribution to ARCOMadrid over the years, and its essential role in the international contemporay art market are some of the main features. This commemorative program cancels this year’s guest country.

Under the heading “Year 35. Madrid” project by the journalist and art expert Javier Hontoria, ARCO city spaces unrelated to contemporary art that will highlight and enhance the identity of each place opens. The initiative will  be held exhibitions in spaces such as the Arabb House, the Embassy of Colombia, the Naval Museum, Archaeological Museum, Museum of Romanticism, etc.
