Today we are going to present to you a loft that used to be an old coffe shop. It takes place in the centre of La Coruña and the local has a 140,60m2surface.
The interior is organised on two interconnected levels defined according to their use but with a sensitive rather than functional division. On the ground floor, the public area: guest bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen, which divides the last two rooms.
In the kitchen, a long counter that extends to the other side of a glass door separates the work zone from the living area.
On the lower floor, the private zone, accessed via a staircase with cantilevered treads that lands at the master bedroom shared with a small study, the bathroom and a dressing room.
This is an efficient, austere, simple, comfortable intervention, in which the powerful contrasts of lighting and colour stand out: white versus black and light versus shadows.
In order not to alter the continuity of the vertical planes, built-in wardrobes have been fitted. The colour white has been used on walls, ceilings and resin floors, contrasting with the carpeting in an anthracite grey colour on the lower storey.
